The network
A closed catalogue,
not an open marketplace
Open marketplaces optimise for listings, not for outcomes. Anyone can publish a catalogue; few can prove they will ship what they promised.
We built The Trusted Source on a different premise: refuse every applicant who cannot show a registered company, a real warehouse and a trading history that survives review. The result is a smaller catalogue where a quotation means something — and where disputes have an audit trail behind them.
How verification works-
01
Every company is identified.
Registration number, VAT number and registered address checked
-
02
Every supplier is inspected.
Trading history, references and warehouse capacity reviewed
-
03
Every request has a response time.
Median first response: 6 business hours
-
04
Every trade is documented.
Invoices, delivery notes and contracts held against the deal

Member economics
Pricing that rewards volume,
not negotiation games
Membership pricing is agreed with distributors on the volume a supplier can actually commit. Buyers see the same tiers, so a negotiation starts from the published schedule instead of from zero.

Member experience
What changes after verification
-
We replaced four open-marketplace threads with one verified supplier in the first month. The paper trail alone justified it.
-
Net 30 terms on a UK wholesaler was not something we could get on our own. Membership changed the conversation.
-
Verification cleared a supplier we had been rejecting for years over a missing VAT number. It was issued in two days.

UK-registered businesses that buy or sell electronics and home appliances in volume. We accept limited companies, partnerships and sole traders with a registered business address and a VAT number where registration is required. Applications from individuals and from companies that cannot produce trading references are declined.
Two to four working days. Company identity checks usually complete within one day; trading and reference checks take longer because we contact referees and verify warehouse capability. You receive a reference number when your application is submitted.
£0 to join. There is no listing fee and no monthly subscription. Suppliers pay commission only when a trade settles. Pricing tiers are published to members so negotiation starts from a published schedule rather than from scratch.
No. The catalogue is closed: only companies that pass verification can be listed or place requests. This is deliberate. An open marketplace rewards whoever lists fastest; a closed catalogue rewards whoever actually ships.
Yes. Every supplier in the catalogue has passed identity, trading capability, commercial standing and ongoing monitoring checks. Buyers can request the current review date before placing a first order.
Members typically trade on net 14 to net 30 day terms depending on category, volume and counterparty credit position. Specific terms are agreed per supplier and shown on each quotation.
Yes, provided the supplier passes the same verification standard and can ship to the UK with proper customs documentation. Where import VAT, EORI numbers and duty classification are relevant, members should read our UK import VAT and EORI guide before the first order.
Every settled trade is documented against the deal record: invoices, delivery notes and contracts. Escalations go to a named account contact, and your verification history stays visible to other buyers.
